Frequently asked questions
Are my videos uploaded to convert them?
No. The FFmpeg engine runs inside your browser tab, so the video is processed locally. This is why there is no upload progress bar — the file never leaves your computer or phone.
Why is the first conversion slower?
The first time you use a video tool, the browser downloads the FFmpeg engine (around 30 MB) and caches it. After that, conversions start much faster because the engine is already loaded.
Which video format works almost everywhere?
MP4 (H.264) is the most universally compatible — it plays on virtually every phone, browser, TV and editor. Convert to MP4 when you just need something that reliably opens.
